Businesspeople and a delegation from the government of Mato Grosso do Sul will participate in the second edition of MS Day, between May 12th and 17th, 2024, during Brazilian Week, based in New York, United States of America (USA). Businesspeople from different countries around the world will be at the event.
The objective is to present the opportunities and potential (infrastructure, environment, tourism, economy, industrialization and concessions) of Mato Grosso do Sul to businesspeople and investors from other states/countries, as well as closing new businesses and seeking investors for the State.
The authorities who will be present at the event are the state governor, Eduardo Riedel (PSDB); president of the Federation of Industries of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul (FIEMS), Sérgio Longen; Secretary of State for Administration, Rodrigo Pérez; Special Secretary for Strategic Partnerships, Eliane Detoni; Secretary of Environment, Jaime Verruck; Álvaro Fonseca, among other authorities.
MS Day is a brand created by FIEMS. The first edition brought together 400 businesspeople in August 2023, at the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), located in São Paulo. During the event, R$5.5 billion were invested and negotiated.
According to the government of Mato Grosso do Sul, Eduardo Riedel (PSDB), three main points will be presented during MS Day, in New York: infrastructure, environment and new businesses.
“The importance is to attract investments to these three areas, infrastructure, new businesses, the environment. We basically have three important areas of action there in New York: infrastructure: when we talk about infrastructure, we take it to the bank actors and to the GRI, which is in charge of this agenda with public and private partnerships or strategic partnerships in other lines, where these investors and infrastructure operators can buy, as if it were a show that the State is going to put on with the projects we have, the projects are highways and infrastructure in different areas”, explained the governor, referring to the agenda of infrastructure.
“Another priority agenda is the environment: We are talking about a Pantanal fund that has been set up and many agents and spectators are curious to know how they can contribute to these projects related to the environment”, added Riedel, referring to the environmental agenda. environment.
“And the third agenda is new businesses, private companies that are interested in coming to MS. We are receiving a lot of calls, a lot of interest from business groups who want to come here, and at that time you will have the opportunity to sit as an executive of these companies, in the areas of grain processing, be it sodium or corn, for energy”, concluded the head of state executive, referring to the new business agenda.
MS Day was presented and announced this Monday morning (6), at the FIEMS headquarters, located at Avenida Afonso Pena, number 1206, in Campo Grande.
