The Federal District Women’s Secretariat (SMDF), in partnership with the DF Commercial Association, promotes, from April 27th, the “Jornada Cresça Mulher” project with the aim of helping women entrepreneurs to boost their businesses. There are 100 vacancies for mentoring that will take place in 11 free meetings, nine of which online and two in person at the association itself.

“Having inspiring women who help other women take their first step into entrepreneurship is rewarding. This initiative directly contributes to the public policies that we support in our portfolio”

Giselle Ferreira, Women’s Secretary

Jornada Cresça Mulher offers mentoring every Wednesday at 7pm, covering topics such as marketing, emotional intelligence, personal and business finances, process management, the importance of the Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI), personal image, pricing, technology and innovation.

For the Secretary of Women, Giselle Ferreira, promoting initiatives that awaken in women the desire and confidence to undertake business in the capital of the Republic is one of the ways to promote economic independence. “Having inspiring women who help other women take their first step into entrepreneurship is rewarding. This initiative directly contributes to the public policies that we support in our portfolio,” she said.

Started in 2021, “Jornada Cresça Mulher” began with a small group of volunteers offering free consultancy to two entrepreneurs. Over time, it expanded its reach, serving 100 women in the following years. The project’s creator, Tátila Ferreira, had an inspiring journey, starting her business at the age of 12 at Estrutural, where she sold hair accessories and brigadeiros to help her family.

Because I left the outskirts and managed to grow, a lot of people started asking me for tips and I helped as much as I could, but I saw that I was good in one area and not in others. Therefore, I brought together other professional women to form the team of volunteers for this journey”, said Tátila. Registration for the Jornada Cresça Mulher is open until April 27th, at this link.
