Fiat Titano and the new Jeep Compass and Commander. Stellantis brand launches in 2024 they are just at the beginning. Emanuelle Cappellano, president of the group for South America, confirmed in a press conference more seven new features for this year. Highlight is the company’s first national flex hybrid that will appear by the end of the year, in addition to the already promised Citroën Basalt and the new and restyled Peugeot 2008 (combustion and electric). What about the other five cars? Autosport draws up a list of possible new products.

Before speculating on the names, let’s detail the important – and confirmed – future flex hybrid. Apparently, it will be the Compass T270 Bio-Hybrid e-DCT 4×2, which has already been spotted testing around the Goiana (PE) factory. It is a unit with a 1.3 turboflex hybrid engine, which will be combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and oil-bathed gearbox. Another Stellantis alternative could be the Jeep Renegade and/or the Fiat Toro with a mild hybrid engine. What is officially known is that the model will debut in the second half of this year.

Returning to Peugeot, in addition to the 2008 SUV that will now be imported from Argentina, the new 208, with a more aggressive style and renewed interior, will debut here this year.

At the front, what draws the most attention are the LED daytime running lights, which change the shape known as a saber tooth for a design that imitates a mark left by a lion’s claws, with three vertical rows inside a black piece housed in the bumper. At the back, the changes were more subtle. The black bar that joins the lights was maintained, but with the Peugeot name written in a new graphic. The hatch also debuts the brand’s new logo.

Another French brand, Citroën, will participate with possibly two products. One is in the C3 line. The hatch, launched at the end of 2022, will retire the veteran 1.6 flex engine to have Fiat’s 1.0 turbo Firefly in the 2025 line portfolio. The version will occupy the top of the range and will be called You, according to the Autos Segredos website.

The other is the little electric Ami. The 8 hp car had its launch confirmed in Brazil last year. Measuring 2.41 meters long and 1.39 m wide, the two-door vehicle seats two people and weighs just 485 kg. Its mechanical package uses an 8 hp electric motor, which is powered by a 5.5 kWh battery positioned below the seats. Ami, however, You will not be able to walk on public roads in Brazil because your approval will not be for a car. The business strategy should target factories, condominiums and companies for internal travel.

The latest release could cover the Ram Rampage. The unprecedented Big Horn version, on sale in Uruguay, may appear here as the cheapest – and perhaps work-oriented – option for the pickup truck. The option ditches the chrome on the body and has a simpler look, with black plastics. The engine is the same 2.0 turbodiesel with 170 hp as the Rebel and Laramie versions. The transmission remains a nine-speed automatic and the traction is 4×4.

New investment cycle

This wave of ten launches still in 2024 is the contemplation of the investment round of R$ 16 billion made previously and which ends this year. Stellantis recently announced a new investment of R$30 billion in Brazil for the period 2025-2030. In other words, the 40 new promised products (among them, new models, generation changes and engine changes for existing vehicles), the four hybrid platforms and the eight powertrains (engine and gearbox) are not on this year’s list.
