The second edition of the Centro Literary Festival (Flic), which has support from the Government of Amazonas, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, starts on Friday (26/04), from 7pm, at the Centro Cultural Casarão de Ideias (CCCI), Rua Barroso, in the Center. The festival, with free and diverse programming until Sunday (28/04), aims to popularize the book, making it an instrument of access to information and knowledge.

On Friday, starting at 7pm, the Casarão de Ideias gallery will host the installation ‘Uma Poética da Leitura’. And on Saturday (27/04), from 2pm to 4pm, Casarão welcomes writer Myriam Scotti with the workshop ‘Literary Chronicles’. From 5pm onwards, Jarid Arraes, Amara Moira, Debora Barcelar and Sony Ferseck will meet for the conversation ‘Reconfiguring Narratives’, mediated by Jaúna Gordiano. Also on Saturday, from 8pm, at Livraria da Barroso, located in the expansion of Casarão de Ideias, there will be launches of works.

According to the director of the CCCI, João Fernandes, the 2023 Flic had more than 8,500 visitors, which supported this second edition. “The festival was very well received by the population of Manaus. It was clear that there is a demand for literature, and reading needs to be encouraged, as well as the possibility of space for new authors and exchanges with professionals from other states”, comments Fernandes, creator of the event.
