The new heat wave in Mato Grosso is expected to start this Saturday (27) and is expected to remain until the beginning of next month. According to the meteorologist and consultant for the energy concessionaire, Ana Paula Paes, through consultancy, the forecast is that temperatures will get higher from the weekend onwards. In the Cuiabá region, the maximum temperature should be around 35°C. “This heat wave will be caused by a high pressure system that tends to inhibit the formation of clouds and, as a result, areas in the south and southwest of the state should experience higher temperatures”, explained the meteorologist.
Due to the new climate alert, dealership technicians explain the need to take extra care with the bill and mention that rising temperatures and staying there for prolonged periods can cause a jump of up to 60% in the consumption of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. “Not only the rain, wind, storms, which affect our electrical system. The heat wave, in fact, has intensified with a natural phenomenon, called El Niño, which has been increasing since last year, also in the first half of the year”, explains the company.
