With just under a month left before the deadline for submitting the 2024 Income Tax (IR) declaration, more than 138 thousand taxpayers from Tocantins managed to account for the lion. The data was recorded until this Saturday afternoon (4).

According to Federal Revenue statistics, available in real time on the institution’s website, around 250,000 declarations are expected from the state this year. To date, 138,685 have been delivered.

Of the total, 80.4% will receive a refund and 9.6% will have to pay the ‘lion’ for income from the year 2023. The deadline is May 31st. Of the financial statements, 46.3% were sent after being pre-filled, 55.9% simplified and 8.8% corrected.

The majority are from Palmas, from where 43,660 declarations were issued to the Revenue system until this Saturday. Next comes Araguaína, with 18,357 declarations and Gurupi, with 9,701.

Those who receive from R$ 30,639.90; R$ 153,199.50 from rural activity; or has assets worth up to R$800,000, is required to declare income. To make the declaration, the taxpayer must download the program on the Federal Revenue website.

For those who managed to refund, the lots must be paid to taxpayers from May 31st to September 30th. See the dates:

  • 1st Batch – May 31st;
  • 2nd Batch – June 28th;
  • 3rd Batch – July 31st;
  • 4th Batch – August 30th;
  • 5th Batch – September 30th.
