Eloá Sorrilha, 8 years old, died after being hit by a eucalyptus log, on a farm, in the rural area of Amambai (MS), this Tuesday (23). Information about the case was released this Wednesday (24) by the Civil Police.
As stated in the Police Report, Eloá was rescued on the farm where she lived and taken to the city’s Regional Hospital, where her death was confirmed. The Civil Police are investigating the circumstances of the case.
According to the police, the child was the victim of an accident on the farm where he lived. The girl’s parents were interviewed in testimony. The victim’s body underwent a necroscopic report, which should indicate the causes of death.
In addition to witness reports, the Civil Police requested expert examinations at the scene of the accident to help understand the case. An investigation was opened to determine the death.
On social media, the school the girl attended issued a note of condolence and remembered the student. “With immense sadness, the City of Amambai regrets the death of the little angel Eloá Gonçalves Sorrilha, a 3rd year B student at the Antônio Pinto da Silva Municipal School.”
“In this moment of immense pain, our thoughts are with the bereaved family, schoolmates and all those who had the privilege of knowing and living with this little being of light. May God grant us strength and understanding to face this difficult time May the memory of little Eloá be eternalized by the smile and innocence she brought to the world.
