CRB should not have Jorginho for the match against Amazonas

-

CRB is continuing with the week of work with an eye on Amazonas, which will be its second opponent in Series B of the Brasileirão. However, the team may face a problem, as midfielder Jorginho will probably not be available for coach Daniel Paulista.

The player has been treating tendinitis since the beginning of the month and has no plans to return to the pitch. So far, he is still not working with the ball, along with his CT Ninho do Galo teammates.

The last time Jorginho entered the field was on April 9, in the 0-0 draw with Botafogo da Paraíba, in the quarter-finals of the Copa do Nordeste. Against Fortaleza, in February, he suffered an ankle injury.

This season, Jorginho participated in 15 matches with the CRB shirt. On ten occasions, the player was a starter and, on another five, he came on during the match. The curious thing is that, in none of these games, did the midfielder complete the 90 minutes.

The expectation is that he will be available, at least, for the first match of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil against Ceará.

OTHER ATHLETES

The person who also didn’t take the field in the CRB’s first match, in the Brasileirão, was defender Saimon. However, the defender’s situation is much calmer, as he is recovering from the flu.

As Galo still has two more days of training before facing Amazonas, the athlete should not be a problem for coach Daniel Paulista. Thus, in addition to Jorginho, the Regatian medical department only has left-back Vitinho, who will only return in 2025, and Heron, who could return between May and June.

The recently signed Jorge, left-back, is working to gain physical conditioning. However, he will hardly take the field against the Amazonians.
