Four children are injured after a collision between cars in western Santa Catarina

Four children were injured after a collision between two cars, on SC-163, in the municipality of Itapiranga, in the west of Santa Catarina. According to information from the Fire Department, the incident happened around 5:30 pm, this Tuesday (23). According to firefighters, the collision between the vehicles was lateral.

According to firefighters, the accident happened between a Chevrolet/Prisma and a Volkswagen/Gol.

“Four children were treated at the scene, a 4-year-old boy, conscious and oriented, found standing on the side of the road, reporting a headache due to the blow. The second 5-year-old boy, conscious and oriented, was found standing on the side of the road, with abrasions on his face, and the wound was cleaned. The third 6-year-old boy, conscious and oriented, was found standing on the side of the road, with abrasions on his face and upper right limb, and the wounds were cleaned. The fourth victim, a 4-year-old girl, conscious and oriented, found in the lap of a member of the public, showing abrasions on her face, pale, the wounds were cleaned. The driver of the Prisma vehicle, aged 64, remained at the scene of the accident. The Gol driver, aged 54, was treated and taken by SAMU to the hospital. The scene of the accident was taken care of by the Military Police.
