The body of a 34-year-old man was found in an advanced state of decomposition this Tuesday (April 23) in Caldas, in the south of Minas Gerais. According to investigations, the victim was thrown into the waters of the Rio Verde by two suspects and had been missing since the 19th. The causes of the crime are still being investigated.

According to information from the Minas Gerais Military Fire Department, the military moved to the river after receiving information that a man was missing and that his body had been left in place. The work was carried out together with the Military Police.

The firefighters then outlined work strategies, carrying out a sweep inside the river. After moving about 70 meters, the body was found tangled up in branches in an advanced state of decomposition.

The military informed the Military Police, who called in the investigation. Afterwards, the body was sent to the funeral home. The case will be investigated.
