A disagreement over a bar bill ended in a widespread fight in Barbacena, Minas Gerais, in the early hours of this Sunday, 21st. Military Police teams were called and a 27-year-old boy had to be taken to the hospital for medical attention.

According to the PM, the case occurred around 1 am, at the Mercado Central Barbacena establishment, where a general fight was taking place. Upon arriving at the scene, the confusion had calmed down.

The owner of the place reported to the police that one of the victims, a 27-year-old boy, reported that when he paid his command’s bill at one of the stalls, he had discovered an improper charge, which led to an argument. Then, as he walked away from the box, he was punched in the face by an unidentified man and ended up falling to the ground.

Images recorded at the scene show men attacking each other at the entrance to the establishment. The police were also informed that the person suspected of punching the customer was a bar employee, but he was not identified. The establishment denies it.

The attacked boy was taken to the Regional Hospital, where he received medical attention and remained under observation.

In a note on social media, Mercado Central Barbacena stated that the customer had insulted and verbally attacked an employee, calling her a ‘slut’, at which point the security guard and some customers saw the situation and asked him, already drunk , if he withdrew.

“That was when he slapped the security guard in the chest and insulted him with racist words. When he tried to remove this individual, a fight broke out between customers in the market, with one customer attacking the aforementioned boy, who had a superficial wound on his face.” , says the statement.

Security guards removed those who were causing the confusion, and those involved continued the fight outside. “The Central Market’s legal department and advisory services are taking the appropriate measures to hold those responsible for what happened.”
