On the morning of this Tuesday, the 23rd, state deputy Ibrain de Valmir (PV) received, in his office at the Legislative Assembly of Sergipe (Alese), two directors from Sindipetro AL/SE (Petrobras Workers’ Union of Alagoas and Sergipe). The objective of the visit was to seek support from parliamentarians for the return of the state-owned company’s activities in Sergipe.
According to Thiago Ítalo, a member of the commission, the objective of the visit was to seek support from the competent public authorities that can reverse the situation before new activities take place outside of Sergipe again. “This initiative is very important, as it will boost the economic development of our State. So we are looking for Congressman Ibrain so that we can have a PGN (Platform) on land and a refinery. The arrival of this refinery will generate jobs and development in a very positive way. So, we are pleased to know that we can count on the parliamentarian’s support in this fight”, he highlights.
Deputy Ibrain made himself available to provide all the necessary support. “You can count on me. Our office has its doors open, especially because we know the importance of Petrobras for Brazil and our state. We are the smallest state in the federation, but we have an immense capacity for oil in our seas. Having Petrobras active in our state is more than necessary, it is essential. This will boost the economy and generate employment. Count on me to get into this fight head on”, he concludes.
