A 45-year-old man’s trip to the beach was interrupted by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) of Minas Gerais last Monday (April 22). The suspect, who was wanted by the courts after being convicted of a murder that occurred in the state of Acre, was approached on BR-381, near Pouso Alegre, in the south of Minas.

According to the corporation, the police were carrying out a routine action to combat crime when they approached a bus at km 871 of the highway.

The group was heading from São Paulo (SP) to Porto Seguro (BA), a city famous for its beautiful beaches. During searches, police identified the suspect and located an open arrest warrant in his name.

Questioned by PRF agents, the suspect claimed that he was going to the city of Teixeira de Freitas, in Bahia. Given the situation, the man was arrested in the act and was taken to the Civil Police of Pouso Alegre.
