Aiming to strengthen the work process in health services, the Amazonas Health Surveillance Foundation – Dr. Rosemary Costa Pinto (FVS-RCP), from the State Department of Health of Amazonas (SES-AM), carries out, this Wednesday on Friday (03/04) and Thursday (04/04), the Workshop for the Construction of Annual Plans for Infection Control in Health Services, Patient Safety and Hospital Epidemiological Surveillance.

Held at the Centro Universitário do Norte (Uninorte), in the center-south zone of Manaus, the initiative is aimed at teams from the Infection Control Committee in Health Services, the Patient Safety Center and the Hospital Epidemiological Surveillance Center. The objective is to strengthen the action planning of these centers, promoting the strengthening of work processes, aiming at strategic planning.

Executive secretary of assistance at SES-AM, Liege Menezes, highlighted the importance of applying the protocols that have been carried out since the construction of the action plans. “Our patients certainly feel more protected within the environment that aims to apply these protocols and provide quality care,” she said.

For the CEO of FVS-RCP, Tatyana Amorim, the initiative contributes to achieving goals. “We are working on annual plans, agreeing on the strategies that will be developed, through the centers, which are established within the hospitals, to ensure that these goals, which were planned, are in fact executed and achieved”, she highlighted.

The event is held in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in person and online. This approach aims to reach professionals who were unable to attend in person, but who recognize the importance of the initiative for hospital surveillance.

Jesyane Braga, coordinates the Commission for Infection Control in Services, the Patient Safety Center and the Hospital Epidemiological Surveillance of the São Raimundo Emergency Care Service. For her, the work of these centers is enriching. “You have to get closer to your colleagues to build knowledge. We have to share this knowledge,” she said.

Among the FVS-RCP participants who make up the initiative are Evelyn Campelo, responsible for Hospital Surveillance and Quality at FVS-RCP; Fabiana Bianchet and Luciana Koba, from the State Epidemiological Surveillance Network; Márcio Monteiro and Eliane Fernandes, from the Health Surveillance Department; and Jardilene Faraco, from the Planning, Public Health Emergencies and Strategic Actions sector.

The Workshop for Construction of Annual Plans for Infection Control in Health Services, Patient Safety and Hospital Epidemiological Surveillance reinforces the commitment of FVS-RCP and its partners to excellence in the provision of health services in Amazonas, always aiming for continuous improvement and the safety of patients and professionals involved.
