A drunk man killed his neighbor in the São Vicente neighborhood, in the city of Itajaí, in Vale do Itajaí, in Santa Catarina. According to information released by the Military Police (PM), the incident happened at around 2:50 am, last Sunday (28). According to the PM, the crime happened after the suspect was prevented from entering his residence by his wife and went out into the neighborhood knocking on all the gates. When the victim went to question the motive, she was stabbed.
“The victim, a man (42 years old, born in PR, without police records) was injured by a stab wound to the chest area, and was taken to the hospital by members of the public, where he died. The suspect, another man (34 years old, born in PA, police convictions for threat, bodily harm and stalking), was prevented from entering his residence by his wife, due to being very drunk, having gone out into the neighborhood knocking on all the gates. The victim went to ask him why, and the suspect committed the crime and fled shortly after,” detailed the PM.
The Civil Police will investigate the case.
