Six people are being investigated by the Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG) for alleged involvement in a fraud scheme in traffic legislation tests in Belo Horizonte. According to the institution, around 30 driving school students would have benefited from the crime in 2023.
During a press conference this Wednesday morning (3), the PCMG said the scheme involves two driving schools in the Venda Nova Regionan instructor and five employees from the Integrated Service Unit (WOW).
According to investigations, the investigated instructor mediated the students’ contact with UAI professionals to pass the legislation examwhich is required by Detran-MG when the candidate advances to practical classes on the street.
The value charged by the group varied between R$2 and R$3 thousand. The instructor made appointments at UAI Venda Nova and, there, pointed out which students would benefit. Seven search and seizure warrants were executed this Wednesday morning. According to researchers, the value obtained from the scheme was divided between those involved. Candidates who paid the amount must answer for corruption active.
