Fapeam notice for researchers from the interior of AM receives proposals until May 6th

Female scientists linked to higher education and/or research institutions or research centers based in the interior of the state can submit excellent, innovative and creative projects to the Support Program for Interiorization in Research and Technological Innovation in Amazonas (Painter Mulheres Cientistas no Interior) , from the Amazonas State Research Support Foundation (Fapeam).

Registration is open until 5pm on May 6th (Monday) and must be completed via the Fapeam Information Management System (SIGFapeam) platform. Researchers with a master’s or doctorate degree, resident and linked to teaching and research institutions in the interior of Amazonas can participate.

Fapeam’s initiative is in line with the Amazonas State Government’s PPA 2024-2027. The notice aims to encourage scientific, technological, innovation, or technological transfer projects, coordinated by female researchers, related to the bioeconomy.

The projects must contribute to the generation of added value for the regional economy, based on the standing forest, the flowing rivers and the valorization of traditional and local knowledge about Amazonian biodiversity. The following thematic areas will be considered: biotechnological bioeconomy, bioresource bioeconomy and bioecological bioeconomy

With investments of R$975 thousand, the notice will support up to 10 projects, with a term of 24 months. Proposals must be presented in a specific online form and sent electronically, via SIGFapeam, available at www.fapeam.am.gov.br.

To access the form, the applicant must use their login and password previously registered with SIGFapeam. New users must register with the Foundation’s research database. In addition to submitting the online form, submitting the proposal requires the presentation of additional documentation, as detailed in the notice.
