In addition to prison, those convicted were sentenced to pay compensation to Wesner’s family in the amount of R$300,000 and a lifetime pension in the amount of 2/3 of the minimum wage in force during the period.
“I promised at the hospital. I promised that they would pay. I came out like a lioness for them to pay for what they did to my son. I’m dreaming of this victory. My son is happy in heaven. Justice fulfilled the law, it’s for put these people who do a lot of harm in jail”, commented Marisilva Moreira after receiving the court’s decision on her son’s case.
The crime occurred on February 3, 2017. Wesner was hospitalized for 11 days, and even recorded a video thanking him for the prayers. In addition to the injury to his intestine, the boy had an injury to his esophagus and suffered hemorrhage, dying as a result of cardiac arrest.
The owner of the car wash, Thiago Demarco Sena, aged 26, and employee Willian Henrique Larrea, aged 30, suspected of raping Wesner, were never arrested. According to the defense, the argument is that the crime was “a joke”.
