After recognizing collective amnesty for indigenous peoples, the MPF (Federal Public Ministry) recommends that the Union guarantee basic rights to indigenous peoples Guarani Kaiowá. Among the recommendations are: the recognition of indigenous lands, medical assistance, construction of a health post, with the availability of medicines and an electrical network.

The request for collective reparation was accepted, on Tuesday (2), by the Amnesty Commission, linked to the Ministry of Human Rights, with this, demands and reparative measures for violence during the military regime were accepted. The request for amnesty for original peoples was made by the MPF in 2015 and was rejected twice.

In the document, the MPF pointed out that during the period of the military dictatorship, between 1964 and 1985, indigenous people suffered several violations. In Mato Grosso do Sul, the Guarani Kaiowá people, who live in the Caarapó region, 273 kilometers from Campo Grande, were removed from the vast lands they occupied and concentrated in smaller spaces, established by the public authorities.
