Instability continues in the interior of Brazil this Wednesday (3/4) and the forecast of rain continues over the North and Northeast. Furthermore, the advance of a cold front will form heavy clouds over the South. Throughout the week, new cold fronts may pass over the Southern states, which will contribute to the formation of heavy clouds mainly over Rio Grande do Sul.

On the western border, the region of the Gaucho campaign and south of Rio Grande do Sul, the forecast is for rain showers in the afternoon. The volumes will be high and accompanied by lightning and wind in cities such as Pelotas and Uruguaiana, indicates the Climatempo bulletin.

The capital Porto Alegre, the north of the state and much of Santa Catarina and Paraná continue with predominant sunshine. It should only rain on the coast of Paraná and in the Itajaí Valley.

In the Southeast, the sun remains and there is no forecast of instability in Rio de Janeiro, Zona da Mata Mineira and the west of São Paulo. The most significant rain will be in the north of Minas Gerais, especially Montes Claros. According to Climatempo, all of Wednesday will be rainy in this region.

Soybean crops in the Center-South of the country can benefit, mainly in Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina and a large part of Minas Gerais. Field work should progress without major problems, because even if it rains, it will not be high.

In the Central-West, the storm warning is concentrated in the north of Goiás. Over the Federal District, Cuiabá and Goiânia, the showers occur in the afternoon while in Campo Grande it should only rain in isolation at the end of the day. On the other hand, the south of Mato Grosso do Sul remains sunny and hot.

North and Northeast

In the northern half, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ZCIT) continues to operate and the volumes accumulated until the end of the week will be more significant, between 50 and 120 millimeters, especially in the interior of Amazonas, Matopiba (Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia) , in addition to the northeastern hinterland and northern Minas Gerais.

As there is a lot of rain in a short period of time, Climatempo warns of possible disruptions in the Northeast.

For corn, the situation is not favorable in the interior of Bahia, north of Minas Gerais, south of Mato Grosso do Sul, west of São Paulo and northwest of Paraná, as regular rain will not be enough to recover the areas impacted by the lack of rain, indicates the agroclimatic bulletin.
