After the rainy season, the forecast is for relief during the week in ES

Heavy rains once again hit the south of Espírito Santo and flooded the streets and avenues of Greater Vitória last weekend. More than 11,664 (11,520 homeless and 144 homeless) people had to leave their homes. After the heavy rains, Climatempo predicts that this week will have little rain, with sun predominating throughout the days, bringing relief to the state.

STATE RECORDED HEAVY RAIN LAST WEEKEND

Last weekend, the rains returned with intensity to the state, triggering several floods, including in the capital, Vitória. Climatempo announced this Tuesday (2) that, in the last 96 hours, areas already affected by heavy rains received significant amounts of precipitation:

• Marechal Floriano: 82.0 mm
• Muniz Freire: 78.6 mm
• Jerônimo Monteiro: 78.1 mm
• São José do Calçado: 74.4 mm
• Viana: 72.7 mm
• Cariacica: 70.4 mm
• Victory: 65.0 mm
• President Kennedy – ES: 60 mm
• Itapemirim Waterfall (Jardim Itapemirim): 58.9 mm

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS WEEK

On Wednesday (3), in the central and southern zone, there will be a lot of sun and little rain, with only isolated showers that will not accumulate significant amounts. In the northern zone, there is a forecast of a lot of cloudiness, rain and little sunlight, with a risk of storms.

On Thursday (4), in the north, the condition will remain with few sunlight and a lot of cloudiness, but without risk of storms. In the central and southern zone, the sun will continue to predominate, with isolated rain showers forecast throughout the day.

On Friday (5), the sun will predominate throughout the southern and eastern (coastal) part of the state, without rain. For the west and northwest of the state, the sun will appear again in the region, with only isolated showers expected.
