The searches for two suspects who kidnapped a businesswoman in Alagoas and fled with her vehicle to Sergipe entered the second day this Wednesday, 3. The information was confirmed by the Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SE). The search for the kidnapping suspects is carried out by teams from the Civil and Military Police and the Air Tactical Group (GTA).
Also according to the SSP, the victim’s car was recovered yesterday and taken to the Propriá Regional Police Station, which is located on the border between the states of Sergipe and Alagoas. The vehicle is already in the possession of the businesswoman from Alagoas. During the action on Tuesday, the 2nd, police teams identified a third man, suspected of waiting for the criminals to escape.
“Against the third suspect, who was detained during the searches, a detailed report of personal favoritism was registered,” highlighted the Public Security agency.
Crime dynamics
According to police information, the men kidnapped the victim in Arapiraca, early this Tuesday afternoon, releasing her in the city of Junqueiro, also in Alagoas, and taking the victim’s car and belongings. The suspects headed towards Sergipe, at which point the Sergipe police forces were alerted.
Thus, Civil and Military Police units located in locations close to BR-101, in addition to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), were on standby until they spotted the vehicle, a Hilux model truck, near the municipality of Rosário do Catete.
Faced with the police presence, the suspects entered a road close to BR-101, abandoning the stolen car in a sugarcane field and fleeing through the vegetation. Immediately, searches in the area were initiated by land and the GTA was called.
