Two suspects of kidnapping a businesswoman in a parking lot in the city of Arapiraca (AL) were searched by Sergipe police officers, after being caught in the municipality of Rosário do Catete (SE), this Tuesday (2).
The victim was released in Junqueiro (AL) and the suspects continued to Sergipe with the victim’s car, which was abandoned during the escape. They entered a vegetation area close to BR-101 when they noticed the police pursuit and were no longer located. The searches continued until this Wednesday morning (4).
According to the Propriá (SE) police chief, Ruidiney Nunes, a third man, suspected of trying to escape the pair, was intercepted at a gas station in the region. Due to a lack of evidence linking him to the previous crime, he signed a detailed statement of occurrence and was released.
The case will be passed on to the Alagoas Civil Police. Anyone with information about the location of those involved in the kidnapping should call 181 or 190.
