A microburst occurs when a very strong wind current breaks away from a storm cloud and heads towards the ground. This movement can cause damage to the place where it occurs.

Factors such as large changes in temperature and wind direction favor the formation of microexplosions. According to meteorologist Marcelo Schneider, from the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet), who spoke with the National Newspaperthe city of Santa Cruz do Sul (RS) recorded a microexplosion last Saturday (27).

This Thursday, a cold front advances towards Santa Catarina, which should cause the rain to gain strength in the State. The areas of greatest attention are those bordering Rio Grande do Sul, especially the West, Planalto Sul and South of the State.
