The heavy rain that hit Belo Horizonte this Tuesday night (2) caused heavy floods, flashing lights and traffic jams in the western region of the capital, mainly in the Buritis and Estoril neighborhoods.

On Avenida Barão Homem de Mello, in Estoril, there is a lack of electricity and flashing traffic signs. The queues of vehicles were long and the floods were very strong.

On Avenida Mário Werneck, in Buritis, the strong flood almost covered the wheels of cars. The image looked like flooding, but according to BHtrans it was just a large volume of water that didn’t drain.

With the strong flood, an ice cream store was flooded.

Come back home

Drivers traveling through the region sent videos to Itatiaia They said it took them 35 minutes to walk 600 meters on one of Buritis’ avenues.

From the videos it is possible to notice large traffic jams and volume of vehicles.
