Of the 1,813 prisoners who benefited from the second temporary release in 2024, the Easter day, 29 did not return to prison. The data are from the Federal District Penitentiary Administration Secretariat (Seape/DF).
The survey was carried out this Tuesday (2/4). The benefit began at 7am last Wednesday (28/3) and ended at 10am this Monday (1st/4).
The number of prisoners who did not return to prison units represents 1.59% of the amount released.
Also according to Seape, 8 of those benefiting from the temporary departure were involved in police incidents.
The temporary release is provided for by Ordinance No. 01/2024 of the Penal Executions Court (VEP/DF) and includes custodians who are serving sentences in the semi-open regime and who have authorization for external work or temporary releases.
Anyone who does not return on the scheduled day and time will be considered a fugitive and may lose their right to semi-open regime.
Anyone can anonymously provide information about custodians by calling (61) 9 9666-6000 from the DF Penal Police.
