Amazonas Military Police aligns security and logistics strategy for the event

This Monday morning (1st/04), the deputy commander-general of the Amazonas Military Police (PMAM), Colonel PM Thiago Balbi, led an alignment meeting that dealt with structural, legal and health logistics, in addition to operations and policing. which will be implemented during the 57th Parintins Festival, which will take place on the 28th, 29th and 30th of June, on Tupinambarana island (369 kilometers from Manaus). Commanders and directors of the corporation participated in the meeting.

According to the deputy commander-general, the movement of military police officers to the event is part of detailed strategic planning, which aims to guarantee the safety and smooth running of one of the biggest popular festivals in Brazil. One of the points discussed was the embarkation of more than 500 military police troops, scheduled for June 23rd.

“These professionals will be responsible for reinforcing policing throughout the festival period, working to prevent crimes, guarantee public order and provide a safe party environment for everyone”, he reinforced.

This is the second meeting held at the corporation to discuss the 57th Parintins Folklore Festival.

“The Parintins Festival is internationally recognized as one of the biggest cultural celebrations in the North of Brazil, attracting thousands of people from all parts of the country and the world. Given the magnitude of the event, planning is essential to ensure the success of the party”, emphasized Colonel Thiago Balbi.

Operational Preparations

In the last week of February, the Chief of General Staff (Chemg) of PMAM, Colonel PM Bruno Azevedo, went to Parintins to initiate security operational procedures that include study, planning, coordination, supervision and control of activities where the corporation will be employed.

During the visit, we also visited the facilities of the 11th Military Police Battalion (BPM), the administrative sections, the Tupinambarana kennel, where there was a brief presentation on narcotics detection, guarding and protection.
