The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) approved this Tuesday (02/04) the annual energy tariff adjustment for Mato Grosso. The rate will have an average reduction of 4.40%, coming into effect next Monday, April 8th.

The calculation of adjustments to electricity tariffs follows rules established in concession contracts. According to Aneel, the portion that contributed most to the reduction was that of Energisa Mato Grosso (-2.69%), followed by the financial components of the year (-2.13%).

For Group A, which comprises medium and high voltage consumers, the average reduction will be -5.61%, while consumers connected to Low Voltage (residential and businesses in general) – the effect will be -3.90% . Currently, Energisa Mato Grosso serves approximately 1.65 million customers.

The company’s CEO, Gabriel Alves Pereira Júnior, explains that the tariff price is also the result of austere and planned work, with balance for customers and investors – characteristic of Energisa, which today is one of the largest groups in the electricity sector in the country. country.

“Investing in a planned way gives us the peace of mind to say that we are running together with Mato Grosso, so that our region is ready to grow even more. We are investing R$1.2 billion in the state in 2024 alone. It is a record investment. Of this total, around R$400 million will go towards expanding networks and building seven new substations, in addition to increasing distribution capacity in another 24 – ensuring better quality supply in the countryside and in the city”, reinforced the director.
