Moments before undergoing plastic surgery, ‘Cara Quadrada’ is arrested in SP

Authorities in São Paulo arrested a suspect known as “Cara Quadrada” on Thursday, March 28, in the Vila Virgínia neighborhood, in Itaquaquecetuba, in the metropolitan region of the capital of São Paulo. Eduardo Miranda, 43 years old, was about to have plastic surgery when he was detained.

The man was wanted by the courts accused of participating in the theft of cargo. According to security forces, the aesthetic procedure would be carried out so that the suspect could alter his appearance to the point of eluding the police.

The arrest was announced by the SSP-SP (São Paulo Public Security Secretariat) this Monday, 1st, through the Deic (State Department of Criminal Investigations. According to the authorities, “Cara Quadrada” was approached when he was walking to the clinic where the plastic surgery would be performed.

According to security forces, the suspect admitted that he was wanted and refused to present an identification document, and was later taken to a police unit. The guy claimed he would do the procedure for cosmetic reasons only.

The case was registered by authorities as the capture of a wanted person.
