New complaint of sexual harassment is made against former director of Procon de SC

A new complaint of sexual harassment was made against the former director of Procon of Santa Catarina, Roberto Salum, according to the Civil Police. The regional delegate for Greater Florianópolis, Michele Rebelo, said that the alleged victim will give a statement this week, which should be attached to the investigation already underway.

Just last Friday, the 29th, the opening of a investigation into sexual harassment by Salum against a Procon employee. The 30-year-old woman was the first to contact the police and filed a police report on March 14. According to the victim, she was forcibly kissed by the former director.

The Santa Catarina government ordered Salum’s removal after the case came to light. He was dismissed from his position last Saturday, the 30th. (read official note below).

In a note on the NSC Total website, Claudio Gastão da Rosa Filho, Salum’s lawyer, said that they learned about the allegations through the media, during the holiday, and that, so far, they have not been able to contact the police authority responsible for the investigation.

Roberto Salum was chosen from the personal quota of governor Jorginho Mello (PL) and took office in February this year.
