Accident between bus and trailer leaves injuries and partially closes BR-381

An accident involving a bus and a trailer partially closed the BR-381, known as the Fernão Dias highway, on Thursday morning (May 2). The closure occurs near the city of Careaçu, in the south of Minas.

According to Arteris, the concessionaire responsible for the stretch, the bus, which was heading from Montes Claros to São Paulo, hit the back of the trailer. The bus was carrying 45 passengers and at around 7am three victims were reported in moderate condition and taken to the hospital.

The concessionaire’s Pre-Hospital Care teams work to assess victims and provide hospital referrals. The dealership was called around 5:15 am. Around 7am, the left lane was closed and the slowdown was 1.5km towards São Paulo.
