The first week of April promises to be marked by instability in Rio Grande do Sul. With the beginning of the month this Monday (1st), a trend towards drier weather and above-average temperatures is expected, in a period that coincides with the weakening of the El Niño phenomenon.

According to Climatempo, the first day of April will bring unstable and cloudy weather in the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul, due to the influence of a low pressure system near the coast of RS, allowing the entry of humidity. There is a risk of storms in areas such as Bagé, in Campanha, and in Pelotas and Rio Grande, in the South.
In Uruguaiana, on the Western Border, and Santa Maria, in the Center, the day will be sunny between clouds and the possibility of heavy rain at any time. The Serra will have steady weather. In the capital, Porto Alegre, heat and a chance of moderate to heavy rain showers are expected throughout the day, with a minimum of 21°C and a maximum of 32°C, and a forecast of 20mm of rain.
On Tuesday (02), the Far South will have firm weather with varying cloud cover, while Porto Alegre, Litoral and Uruguaiana will have plenty of clouds and the possibility of light to moderate rain during the day. In the afternoon, in the Serra and in the North, there may be sun and showers.
On Wednesday (03), a high pressure system will predominate in most of the state, preventing the formation of rain clouds. Some occasional showers may occur in the afternoon in the Uruguaiana region, while Porto Alegre, Serra and the coast will have firm weather.
Thursday (04) will be predominantly firm weather in most of the state, with rain forecast only in Uruguaiana. Porto Alegre will have a sunny afternoon.
However, on Friday (05), the arrival of a cold front will bring significant changes in the weather in a large part of the State, with a warning for storms in the Center-South. The day will be cloudy, with rain in Uruguaiana, Bagé, Pelotas and Rio Grande, while Porto Alegre, Serra and Litoral may have sun and heat in the morning, followed by possible heavy rain showers in the afternoon.
