Recife City Hall informed, this Monday (1st), that, starting this month, taxis will have fare adjustments.
As a result, a kilometer under Flag 1 goes from R$2.49 to R$3.11.
The price for Flag 2 is R$3.76, compared to the R$3.01 previously charged.
The value of the flag remains at R$ 5.12. The last adjustment had been authorized in 2017.
“This increase now considers the need to make the municipality’s taxi service rates compatible with its operating costs, said the city hall.
The adjusted fare can only be charged after the permit holders carry out the process of checking the taximeters at the Institute of Weights and Measures of Pernambuco (Ipem-PE).
As long as the taximeter is not updated, the valid value is that of 2017.
If there is a difference in the amounts charged, the population can register a complaint through the call center on 0800 081 1078.
To register a complaint, you must have the vehicle’s license plate number or the Permission Term (TP) number – which is written on the vehicle door.
