Six people died and three others were injured after the crash between a Gol car and a Jeep Renegade on BR-251, in União, in the Northwest region of Minas, this Sunday (31). The vehicles were completely destroyed.

According to the Fire Department, the serious accident occurred near km 945, towards Brasília, in the Serra section, at around 3:30 pm.
The collision occurred when the Renegade tried to overtake, lost control of the steering and collided head-on with the Gol — which was coming in the opposite direction. According to the corporation, it was raining a lot at the time.
There were four men in Gol and they all died. Of the five passengers on the Renegade, two victims died. The other three were taken to the Unaí Municipal Hospital. Identifications were not released.
Traffic was closed in both directions while the teams were working.
The report contacted Unaí city hall and is awaiting a response.
