‘Bom Jesus in the Fight against Hunger’ program distributes basic food baskets; see the beneficiaries | North Fluminense

The Municipality of Bom Jesus do Itabapoana, in the North of Rio de Janeiro, begins another stage of the Bom Jesus na Luta contra a Fome program, which distributes monthly basic food baskets, for a period of 6 months, to families accompanied by the municipality’s Cras.

According to City Hall, the program aims to address food and nutritional insecurity worsened by the Covid-19 pandemic.

See the list of those benefiting from Cras in April:

Families who:

  • They are registered in the Single Registry in Bom Jesus do Itabapoana, in the poverty and extreme poverty range
  • They do not receive any Federal (Bolsa Família, Emergency Aid) or State (Supera Rio) benefits
  • They are in a situation of food and nutritional insecurity, with a social opinion from the Cras technical team, due to the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic
  • They have a social opinion from the Cras technical team in accordance with municipal laws 1243 and 1244/2016, which provide for emergency benefits (for example, rain victims)

The City Hall also clarifies that, if the resident wants to obtain more information about Bom Jesus na Luta contra a Fome, make a complaint or identify themselves in the program profile, they should contact the Cras closest to their residence, to obtain assistance from the technical team.
