A 36-year-old man was arrested on the morning of this Saturday, the 30th, who was on the run from Justice in the State of Minas Gerais, where he should have been answering for the crimes of rape and robbery committed in 2013. According to information gathered by the report from Tocantins Agency, the man was arrested in compliance with a preventive arrest warrant, by teams from the 10th Specialized Police Station for Assistance to Women and Vulnerable Persons (DEAMV – Dianópolis) and the 100th Almas Police Station, in the city of Novo Jardim.

The regional delegate of Dianópolis and head of the 10th DEAMV, Márcio Duarte, reported that the arrest occurred after sharing information between the Public Ministries of Minas Gerais and Tocantins with the Civil Police.

“We had been monitoring him since the beginning of the week when we received the request from the Tocantins Public Ministry. We discovered that he had some addresses in Porto Alegre do Tocantins, Palmas and Novo Jardim, in addition to working on a farm with an unknown address. But today, the teams managed to find him in the city of Novo Jardim where he was living”, informed the chief delegate of the 10th DEAMV, Márcio Duarte.

After arrest, he was taken to the 14th Central of Dianópolis, where he will undergo legal procedures and then be sent to the local prison unit, remaining at the disposal of the Judiciary of Minas Gerais.
