Forest engineer Francineudo Costa, former president of the Dom Moacyr Grechi State Professional and Technological Institute (Ieptec), stated in a post on Instagram that he was the victim of abuse of authority, last Thursday, 25th, in Sena Madureira, by by the city’s police chief, Thiago Parente.
According to the report by Francineudo, who owns a company that provides refrigeration services, the episode occurred when he and his team stopped at a convenience store on their way from Feijó, where he provided services, to Rio Branco.
When he stopped at the place to eat, after having problems with his car during the trip, he says that he was approached by the police chief while he was still eating with his team, being called words such as “tramp”, “thug”, “factional” and “suspicious”. This, according to him, happened without any motivation.
He also says that the police chief appeared to be drunk and had a gun on his waist, not even giving him the chance to identify himself, because when he handed him his document card, the public agent picked it up and threw it from a distance, giving the order to leave the city under penalty of arrest.
“I experienced moments of terror on Thursday night in the municipality of Sena Madureira. I was expelled from the municipality at 11 pm under the name of a bandit, by a drunk police officer, with a gun on his waist and calling me a bum, a bandit, a faction. He ordered me to leave Sena Madureira immediately, as he was the one in charge of ‘all that shit’,” he said.
After returning to Rio Branco, Francineudo formalized a complaint about the incident at the Public Security Secretariat and the Civil Police Internal Affairs, where he said he received very good care. “I had to leave Sena Madureira under escort,” he said, explaining that a Military Police garrison that arrived at the scene ordered him to leave.
