The new Disney film “Mufasa: The Lion King” has a new trailer, with live-action images and new information. The film is scheduled to be released on December 19, 2024.
In the trailer recently released by Disney, we see the monkey Rafiki telling the beginning of the plot. He explains that the lion Mufasa, who appears as a cub, was born without a hint of nobility in his blood, but he was destined to change everyone’s lives forever.
In the sequence we see Mufasa, still small, interacting with other animals, such as hippos, alligators and elephants, his relationship with Sarabi, the future queen, the bird Zazu and his friendship with the monkey Rafiki.

The idea of the film is to tell the story of Mufasa, Simba’s father, from Disney’s classic animated film “The Lion King”. The plot will tell the story of Mufasa from the time he was a puppy until he reached his position as King of the Jungle. The production will also bring Simba as an adult, dealing with his daughter Kiara and remembering his father’s teachings.
The curiosity announced with the launch of the trailer is that singer Beyoncé will return to the project to voice Nala, lioness and wife of Simba. The highlight is the confirmation of Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy, to voice the puppy Kiara.
The cast also includes Donald Glover (Atlanta), who will voice Simba, Billy Eichner (Timão), Seth Rogen (Pumbaa), Aaron Pierre (Mufasa), John Kani (Rafiki) and actors Mads Mikkelsen and Thandiwe Newton, in roles not yet confirmed. The direction is in charge of Barry Jenkins, from “Moonlight”.
