Carla Dantas (MDB) returns next week to the Legislative Assembly of Alagoas after more than a year as state secretary of Agriculture and Livestock, resulting in the loss of the mandate of Galba Novaes (MDB), who returns to the status of substitute.

There is speculation that Dantas’ return is a retaliation in response to the support of Galba Netto, Novaes’ son and councilman, for mayor JHC, breaking ties with the MDB and possibly migrating to the PL.

Netto’s support for JHC was interpreted as betrayal by the emedebistas, causing outrage in the party, led by Calheiros, and directly affecting Novaes, whose mandate was part of a political agreement due to his position as a substitute in the 2022 elections.

Yesterday, the 27th, the governor of Alagoas, Paulo Dantas, announced four changes in the first level of government. He changed the command of the Agriculture and Livestock Secretariats (Seagri); and Citizenship and Persons with Disabilities (Secdef); of Planning, Management and Heritage (Seplag), and the Extraordinary Early Childhood Department (Cria).

Carla Dantas returns to the Legislative Assembly as a state deputy, leaving the now former secretary of Secdef, Aline Rodrigues, to command Seagri. Thus, the department now has social worker Arabella Mendonça as its head. She already worked as executive secretary of Citizenship.

Gabriel Albino left Seplag and in his place took over Paula Dantas, who until then was secretary of First Childhood, a department that will be headed by Caroline Leite. She was executive manager of Early Childhood Health.
