During a meeting this week at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), deputy Zezinho Barbary (PP) once again mediated with the Secretary of Planning and Budget, Fernando Magalhães, for the release of R$43 million for the improvement of branch lines in the municipalities of Acre.
The investment is the subject of an agreement signed in 2017, between the Department of Roads and Highways of Acre (Deracre) and MAPA.
The aforementioned amount is deposited in Deracre’s account, but is blocked. This is a leftover bid from the agreement whose process for the inclusion of new targets awaits technical adjustments with the involvement of Caixa Econômica Federal, as agent, Deracre and the Ministry of Agriculture.
Among the new goals to be included in the object of the agreement is the recovery of branch lines, which are of fundamental importance for the flow of production and, consequently, the generation of jobs and income. It is worth mentioning that, until the appropriate solution for unblocking is found, rural producers face incalculable losses.
“We are aligning the information and adjustments with the support of Governor Gladson Cameli to overcome the stages. After all, there are more than R$43 million allocated to the recovery of water lines, a considerable and essential amount at this time of facing yet another devastating flood for our agriculture” – noted the deputy.
Barbary highlighted that agricultural production was practically devastated and accesses destroyed due to the floods and that it is necessary to ensure that rural producers can transport the little that remains via dry land. “This is my purpose in insisting on the unblocking of this resource, and the reason why I once again appeal to the Ministry of Agriculture and Caixa Econômica Federal for an immediate solution to the impasse” – said the deputy.
