Bruno Reis comfortably leads voting intentions in Salvador

The current mayor of Salvador, Bruno Reis (União Brasil), appears isolated in the first position in a survey of voting intentions of the Paraná Research. The institute released research on the matter this Thursday morning, the 28th.

According to the numbers from the stimulated survey, when a list of likely candidates is presented to those interviewed, Reis appears with 62.3% of voting intentions. An indicator that would guarantee him re-election in the first round — if the municipal election took place today.

According to Paraná Pesquisas, Geraldo Júnior (MDB) appears in second place in the dispute for Salvador City Hall. The vice-governor of Bahia appears with 13.8%. Kléber Rosa (Psol) and Luciana Buck (Novo) were the other two names included in the survey. They register 2.8% and 2.4%, respectively, and, therefore, are in a technical draw, since the margin of error is 3.5 percentage points plus or minus. Of the total number of respondents, 13.6% said they would vote blank, null or for none of the candidates mentioned. They didn’t know or didn’t answer 5.3%.

This Thursday’s survey presents similar numbers to those carried out in January. At the time, Bruno Reis was already leading comfortably, with 62.7%. Geraldo (12.1%), Rosa (2.9%) and Luciana (1.6%) completed the list from the survey two months ago, in addition to none/blank/null (14.1%) and don’t know/ did not respond (6.6%).

Reis also appears in the isolated lead in the spontaneous. In this configuration, in which a list of likely candidates is not presented, he was mentioned by 25% of those interviewed.

The survey of voting intentions by Paraná Pesquisas for Salvador City Hall was registered in the Superior Electoral Court with number BA-02254/2024. Interviews were carried out with 800 potential voters in the capital of Bahia, from March 22nd to 27th. With a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points, the confidence level is 95%.
