By state decree, Acre has an optional point this Thursday (28) and it is a holiday on Friday (29), the day on which the Passion of Christ is celebrated. Essential services such as hospitals and police stations, for example, continue to operate. However, the public administrative sector must stop and return only next Monday (1st).
In this year, the state has six long “holidays”which occur in January, February, March, September and November. The decree with the dates was signed by Governor Gladson Cameli and highlights that ‘regulated municipal holidays will also be considered for the State’s public servants’.
O g1 found out how the other services are in these three days. Check it out below:
- The Organization in Service Centers (OCA) is not open this Thursday (28) and Friday (29). Services return on Monday (1st).
- This Friday (9) the Post Office will not open. On Saturday, in Acre there are no branches that open on that day. Services resume on Monday.
- Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks) informed that there will be no service at bank branches during the Good Friday holiday. The decision follows the Resolution of the National Monetary Council, which does not consider Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays as business days for the purposes of banking operations.
- The Judiciary follows the forensic holiday and only returns on Monday (11), the same goes for the Public Ministry.
- Operations continue normally in the capital’s shopping mall. The cinema opens according to the week’s film schedule.
