The Government of Tocantins, through the State Secretariat for Labor and Social Development (Setas), carries out this Wednesday, the 27th, the advance payment of the salaries of 2,497 young people hired by the program Young Worker. Amounts are paid by the 5th business day of the month, but due to the Easter holiday, payments will be made in advance. Young people work four hours a day and have salaries of R$663.39.

The governor of Tocantins, Wanderlei Barbosa, highlights that the anticipation of salaries is part of the Tocantins Government’s efforts to value all its employees. “The Government of Tocantins is committed to always paying on time and seeks to make the advance as a form of recognition for the commitment of each worker”, he points out.

The program has 2,497 young people working, 1,612 women, 846 men, 48 people with disabilities and 26 young people fulfilling socio-educational measures. The Secretary of State for Labor and Social Development, Jonis Calaça, recalls that the program is already present in the 139 municipalities of Tocantins. “The program is an important support for youth and also an additional incentive for the economy of the municipalities of Tocantins”, highlights the secretary.
