Routine vaccination against flu and Covid-19 for children continues in Campos. Saturday (27) and Sunday (28) the application of immunizations takes place at the Department of Health and Children’s Clinic, from 8 am to 5 pm. From Monday to Friday, in addition to these two locations, there are another 32 rooms distributed throughout the municipality, as specified at the end of the text.

Immunization against Covid-19 will follow the current recommendation of the Ministry of Health, which determines the application of Pfizer Baby for children aged 6 months to 4 years, 11 months and 29 days. The primary schedule consists of the first dose at six months of age, the second dose at seven months and the third dose at nine months for those who are starting vaccination.

Children aged 5 to 11 receive the Pfizer Pediatric vaccine. The two doses of the primary schedule will be applied, with an interval of 30 days between one dose and another. Coronavac can be applied to children over 3 years old. Two doses are also applied, 30 days apart.

For those whose primary regimen is incomplete or the dose is delayed, the four-week interval must be respected between the 1st and 2nd doses.

“The boosters, as well as the application of bivalent Pfizer, remain suspended”, explains the technical advisor for Immunization, Leonardo Cordeiro.

According to the routine calendar, children over 2 months of age, adolescents, adults and the elderly are vaccinated. The vaccines available are: Inactivated Polio Vaccine (VIP), Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV), Triple Viral, Hepatitis A and B, Pentavalent, Rotavirus, Pneumo 10, Meningo C, Yellow Fever, DTP, Diphtheria and Adult Tetanus, Meningococcal ACWY, in addition to dTPA, which is exclusive to pregnant women. Vaccines are administered according to the person’s age group and vaccination status.
