PC de Oliveira explained in “Troca de Passes” that there was no characterization of a new play because the black and white players did not have control of the ball.

The ball bounces off Bastos’ thigh, there’s even a touch from Damián, but in shock. He reacts, even makes an unbalanced move, but he doesn’t have control of the ball. The rule requires validation when he makes a deliberate pass, that is, intentional – explained PC de Oliveira.

– These are not common situations. As it is something that happens over and over again, it sometimes falls into oblivion in the debate. But, even with the difficulty of the move, 10 minutes is a long time and creates a huge impact on the game – he added.

With the result, Botafogo jumped to second place in Group D, with six points, the same score as Junior Barranquilla, who leads the group. Universitario is right behind, with five points. And LDU closes the classification, with four.
