The Civil Police of Minas Gerais (PCMG) released, this Tuesday (26), a summary of Operation Átria, carried out with the aim of combat crimes of domestic and family violence in Belo Horizonte. The data was passed on to the press during a press conference.
According to the institution, the initiative resulted in 1,181 thousand procedures initiated, 475 protective measures required and 97 attackers arrested throughout the month of March. Furthermore, 57 warrantsbetween search and seizure and arrest, were carried out by the Specialized Division for Assistance to Women, the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities and Victims of Intolerance (Demid).
“Regarding PCMG’s educational and awareness activities, Demid teams participated in approximately 40 actions, including events and lectures”, added delegate Danúbia Quadros, head of Demid.
The steps taken by Demid were supported by teams from the State Department of Investigation, Guidance and Family Protection (Defam) and the Special Resources Coordination (Core) of PCMG. More of 200 ammunition were seized during the work.
The last phase of the operation was launched this Tuesday. A 56-year-old man was arrested for psychological violence in the Esplanada neighborhoodin the East Region of the capital.
Firearms, accessories and 105 ammunition They were also seized in five search and seizure warrants carried out in the Serra, Barreiro and Centro de BH neighborhoods.
