Arboleda is caught in a nightclub and jokes. Ecuador rejects defender’s attitude

The São Paulo defender Arboleda was spotted in a nightclub in New York, in the United States. Along with the defender were midfielder Paes, 16, and striker Plata, both from the Ecuador national team. The episode generated a lot of controversy for the player, who claimed to be off work.

However, the Federation of Ecuador itself rejects this version. The entity states that the period of free time occurred on Friday, from 2 pm to 8:30 pm, thus, before leaving for the nightclub. The entity spoke in an official note saying that the images do not match the institution’s values ​​and that they will be a reason for analysis for future calls, without specifying whether there will be punishments.

The images were published by the website “La Data” and show the Tricolor defender showing off money and dancing alongside a woman. Also according to the publication, the episode happened the day before the friendly between Ecuador and Italy. In fact, the Italians won the match 2-0.

On his social networks, Arboleda mocked the episode, saying that, in his free time, he will “start reading the Bible”.

“From now on, on my days off, I’m going to start reading the Bible, because I can’t even have fun,” wrote Arboleda.

Arboleda should return to São Paulo this week

Thus, the defender is expected in the next few days at the Barra Funda CT, to return to his activities in São Paulo. Tricolor is preparing for its debut in the Libertadores, against Talleres, on April 4th. Arboleda should be a starter for Thiago Carpini’s team.
