In an official note, Corinthians also regretted the episode, stating that they repudiate the acts of violence that occurred in the derby. The match was interrupted in the final seconds, with Palmeiras winning 5-2. A disagreement between two rival athletes resulted in confusion with the other players. Afterwards, the court at Ginásio Presidente Ciro II, in Penha, East Zone of São Paulo, was invaded by black and white fans who got involved in the fight.
