The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) competition scheduled to fill 150 higher education vacancies will have Cegranrio as its panel. The definition appears in the body’s publication in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU). Starting salaries are R$20,900.

“As it is a new area of ​​activity and disputed by several organizations, with people from multiple backgrounds dedicating themselves to it, the new emphasis on Data Science will require broad access, open to any university level training”, states the director of People, Information Technology and BNDES Operations, Helena Tenório, in a note released by the development bank at the beginning of the month.

Diversity

The notice will reserve 30% of vacancies for black candidates, a percentage that exceeds by 10% that provided for in Law No. 12,990/2014, which deals with the reservation of vacancies for racial quotas in selections to fill permanent positions and public jobs within the scope of public administration federal.

The bank’s last personnel selection process was launched in 2012, two years before the law was enacted. Currently, the institution has an approximate percentage of 14.6% black people (12.9% brown people and 1.7% black people), while the approximate percentage of this group in Brazilian society is 56.1% , according to IBGE.

There will also be reservation of places for people with disabilities (PwDs), already present in BNDES competitions for more than ten years. For this group, a minimum of 10% of places will be reserved, 5% more than what is determined by Law No. 8,745/1993, which deals with the reservation of quotas for PwDs.
