Audi is launching the new A4 quattro and A5 quattro in Brazil which, as the name indicates, bring permanent four-wheel drive to the country, a system that has been available in the German luxury brand since the 1980s.
The system used is quattro ultra, which has cardan and rear differential shutdown technology, allowing the car to move only the rear axle shafts in light acceleration mode, resulting in fuel savings.
With more than 10 million cars sold with quattro drive, Audi plays an important role in the history of the automobile by offering an extensive range of four-wheel drive models throughout its history.
Renato Celiberti, Head of Sales at Audi do Brasil, comments: “We want to offer our customers the best driving experience in terms of performance, comfort and safety”.
Celiberti adds: “In this sense, the renowned quattro traction has shown over the last 40 years that it is possible to offer unique driving dynamics on all types of terrain. We are very happy to bring this technology to the Audi A4 and Audi A5 models.”
The Audi A4 quattro arrives on the national market in the Prestige 40 TFSI quattro S Tronic and S line 40 TFSI quattro S Tronic versions, which cost R$333,990 and R$359,990 respectively.
The luxury sedan with four rings arrives with an EA888 2.0 TFSI engine with a 12-volt mild hybrid system, which delivers 204 horsepower and 32.6 kgfm. The transmission is a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Audi A5 quattro four-door coupe is offered in the Advanced 40 TFSI quattro S Tronic and S Line 40 TFSI quattro S Tronic versions, which cost R$359,990 and R$394,990, respectively.
Using the same mechanics, the Audi A5 quattro accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while the Audi A4 quattro does the same in 6.7 seconds.
